Configuring and using the Default Base layer
QlikMaps will set to the MapQuest Tileset by default. This can be modified under Map Properties --> More.
Basemaps
The basemaps expression box can be changed to one of 3 providers built in to QlikMaps, or, one of your own choosing.
The three accepted vaules built directly in to QlikMaps are:
- 'MAPQUEST'
- 'MAPBOX'
- 'CARTODB'
For custom basemaps, leave Basemaps empty and proceed to Default Base Layer.
Default Base Layer
The default base layers are avaialable based on the basemap provider.
Available layers for Mapquest are:
- 'SATELLITE'
- 'HYBRID'
- 'OSM'
Available layers for MapBox are:
- 'STREETS'
- 'SATELLITE'
- 'LIGHT'
- 'DARK'
Available layers for CartoDB are:
- 'LIGHT LABELS'
- 'DARK LABELS'
- 'LIGHT NO LABELS'
- 'DARK NO LABELS'
Custom basemap can be used by using a Tile Layer URL (see here for instructions on the URL; the Tile Layer URL will look like http://map-server/{z}/{y}{x}.png)
