Because of the problems with WebView mode in the QlikView Desktop client, performance will always be better when using a “regular” internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera) than when using a QlikView Server (QVS) and a web server.  This is even true if you run the QVS and web server on the same machine as the QlikView Desktop client; the performance boost within a browser radically outweighs the resource footprint of the QVS and web server.
