We have found that using MS SQL server to store and prepare data for geo-spatial data for QlikMaps provides a fast and efficient way to build custom polygons. Not only that, all queries that run in MS SQL Server can be run directly from the Qlik script, meaning all shape customizations can be done directly in QlikView or Qlik Sense and scheduled by the QlikView Server.
