Connecting through PowerBI

In most environments, UniverseBridge will  be at the same location as your SAP BusinessObjects BOE.  For example,  if you go to this URL in order to access the CMC:

http://myserver:8080/BOE/CMC

You will go to this URL to access UniverseBridge

http://myserver:8080/UniverseBridge

Select a Document

After logging in you will be taken to the 'Select a Document' tab.  Select the document containing the data to be pulled in to QlikView.

Choose a Data Provider or Report

If there is more than one data provider available, select one.

If  the "Allow Users to Selectively Refresh" is enabled on the Admin  page, a check box will also be available to allow the user to refresh  the document. See Custom Configuration for more information.

Select 'Get CSV Data'

After clicking the 'Get CSV Data' button, UniverseBridge will open a new  browser window that will retrieve results from SAP BusinessObjects.  Copy the URL for this new window to be used in QlikView.

Open PowerBI and select 'Get data'

Select Web

Under 'Other' data select the 'Web' connector and hit connect

Load the data from the report

Copy the URL created by UniverseBridge and hit OK.

Click 'Load' when the sample data is returned.

Publish the Report

Once the visualizations have been added, publish the report

Set up 'Refresh'

Navigate to your 'Workspace' and select 'Settings' under your 'Datasets' name

Edit your 'Data source credentials' to connect to UniverseBridge.
