Connecting through QlikView

Data stored in a WebI report can easily be pulled in to QlikView using UniverseBridge.

In most environments, UniverseBridge will be at the same location as your SAP BusinessObjects BOE.  For example, if you go to this URL in order to access the CMC:

http://myserver:8080/BOE/CMC

You will go to this URL to access UniverseBridge

Select a Document

After logging in you will be taken to the 'Select a Document' tab. Select the document containing the data to be pulled in to QlikView.

If there is more than one data provider available, select one.

If  the "Allow Users to Selectively Refresh" is enabled on the Admin page, a check box will also be available to allow the user to refresh the document. See Custom Configuration for more information.

After clicking the 'Get CSV Data' button, UniverseBridge will open a new browser window that will retrieve results from SAP BusinessObjects. Copy the URL for this new window to be used in QlikView.

Open QlikView and use the script editor to add 'Web Files' data. Past the URL generated by UniverseBridge to retrieve CSV data into the 'Web Files' wizard.

Click Finish and Reload.

NOTE: Use "MSQ" Quoting whenever possible. This is especially important when there are special characters in the data.
